Dr. Dumisani Magadlela is deze dag niet alleen onze speciale gastdocent, hij is al deelnemer aan onze studiegroep vanaf vrijdagavond en zal ook de dag hierna meegaan naar Khayelitsha. Dr. Dumisani Magadlela neemt ons op bevlogen wijze mee in het hart van Ubuntu. Wat is Ubuntu? Wat betekent Ubuntu Leadership in welke context?
Wat is er volgens hem nodig in de wereld en wat kan de wereld juist van (Zuid)- Afrika leren? Wat is de essentie van Reconciliation in Ubuntu?
Dr. Dumisani Magadlela is a behavioral scientist and a certified international executive coach. He is currently (2015) the Programme Manager for the Pan African Capacity Building Programme (PACBP), a partnership initiative among leading regional development finance institutions (DFIs), the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and a French development agency, the AFD. Dumi serves on the faculty of The Coaching Centre where he co-founded the Ubuntu Coaching Foundation. On weekends and in his spare time, Dumi teaches and trains professionals in executive coaching, Ubuntu coaching, and leadership development, and supports organisations in developing dynamic cultures and employee engagement. When he can, Dumi also supervises Masters and Doctoral students through academic institutions around South Africa. He facilitates training sessions on Ubuntu Intelligence in modern organisations and businesses. Dumi has featured numerous times on radio and television programmes discussing coaching, organizational culture, the value of Ubuntu/Botho/Unhu, and other pertinent African and global leadership issues. He is passionate about African leadership and African youth, and about developing African capacity to take advantage of the demographic dividend and build on the current economic tide favoring the African continent.
